Activision has just announced it will start presenting specific events in Call of Duty Mobile starting this week. One of them is the first seasonal event with a Halloween theme.
Quoted from Phone Arena, Monday (10/21/2019), Activision will release a limited amount of content throughout this event. The content includes new skills in Battle Royale to a number of game modes.
Not only that, Call of Duty Mobile players can also find Halloween themed maps in the game. This map is here for Team Deathmatch, Search & Destroy, or Domination mode.
Some of the events in the game that will be present next week are new modes for the Sniper and Sparrow Operator mode. This latest event will begin on October 18, 2019.
Unfortunately, Activision has not announced detailed information about the event that will be held this month. However, the US-based company promised to reveal its presence at Call of Duty Mobile on October 21, 2019.
Please note, Call of Duty can be said to have succeeded in attracting the attention of many gamers around the world. This is evidenced by the number of downloads which reached 100 million times a week after release.
The number of downloads increased 500 percent compared to the first time Call of Duty Mobile was released. At that time Call of Duty Mobile was downloaded around 20 million times.
Based on data from Sensor Tower , the Call of Duty Mobile game is four times more successful than other battle royale games , like PUBG Mobile and Fortnite Battle Royale from Epic.
Activision Ready to Support Controller for Call of Duty Mobile
Previously, Activision was said to be adding controller support for Call of Duty Mobile . This information was first revealed from the upload of the developer from the United States on the Reddit site .
“We hear players want to know about controller support. We are currently testing the controller support and opening up the possibility to present it in the future,” the company wrote.
Given that Activision is currently conducting trials, it is not impossible that this feature will actually be present in the future. But for now, Call of Duty Mobile players have to wait first.
3 Days Get USD 2 million
The newly released Call of Duty Mobile also succeeded in revenue, not just the number of downloads.
As quoted from Venture Beat, Thursday (10/10/2019), Sensor Tower said the game has reached 20 million downloads. While the income earned by the game is USD 2 million.
Remarkably, all the achievements were obtained in just about two days after release. According to Sensor Tower , most of the data collected was taken from the last 36 hours after it was rolled out.
Also known from this report, Call of Duty Mobile has topped the category of free applications in 33 countries, one of which is the United States. Not only that, the game made it into the top five in 30 countries.
The success of this game is likely to be inseparable from the popularity of the Call of Duty franchise . On the other hand, the genre of battle royale that is on the rise can be said to have helped boost the interest of the game.
The data that Sensor Tower collects is also predicted to continue to grow, considering that the game has only been launched in a matter of days.
