Razer has just updated its Blade series gaming laptop portfolio. This time, the laptop manufacturer from the United States introduced the Razer Blade 15 with a number of improvements. There are two models of Razer Blade 15 offered, namely “Base” or standard models and “Advanced” aka more qualified models.
Both of these gaming laptop models carry an identical design, even the appearance looks similar to the previous Blade series. Razer Blade 15 still carries the design of a conventional laptop, with a keyboard equipped with an RGB light.
Even so, the keyboard design, especially in the arrow keys, has been updated to be more symmetrical. The Razer Blade 15 is planned to be available in May with the cheapest price of 1,600 US dollars. With the price tag, what kind of hardware specifications carried by these two Razer Blade 15 models?
Razer Blade 15 Advanced
The Razer Blade 15 Advanced version comes with two different GPU variants, namely the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super Max-Q and the GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q. Both are paired with 8GB GDDR6 VRAM.
The Razer Blade 15 Advanced relies on an octa-core Intel Core i7-10875H processor with 16 GB DDR4 RAM. The storage media is SSD PCIe 3.0 type with a capacity of up to 1 TB. The Razer Blade 15 Advanced features a 15-inch wide screen with Full HD resolution and 16: 9 aspect ratio.
This gaming laptop screen has a refresh rate of up to 300 Hz. There are a number of ports on this Razer Blade 15 Advanced . Namely one HDMI 2.0 port, one Thunderbolt 3, one USB type-C 3.2, two USB 3.2, SD card reader , and an Advanced Heat pipe cooling system.
Razer Blade 15 Base
Unlike the Advanced version, the Razer Blade 15 Base is armed with a GDDR6 GPU configuration without the “Super” frills. The graphics processor relies on the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti (6GB VRAM), GeForce RTX 2060 (6GB VRAM), and GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q (8GB VRAM).
The Razer Blade 15 Base uses an Intel Core i7-10750H hexa-core processor, with 16 GB DDR4 RAM and 512 GB SSD storage media. The Razer Blade 15 Base screen has the same specifications as its sibling, only the refresh rate is fixed at 144 Hz.
The composition of the ports on the Razer Blade 15 Base is almost similar to the Advanced model . However, this model is not equipped with an SD card reader. As a replacement, Razer pinned an RJ-45 ethernet port that was absent in the Advanced model.
