The news was first revealed in Razer’s latest fiscal report. In the report it was noted that Razer experienced a growth acceleration of 432.3 percent year on year or around 16.5 million US dollars. Razer then linked this success with Razer Phone which was released at the end of 2017.

Razer Phone is considered as the “next generation product” which will bring benefits so that it is considered feasible to continue to be developed. “The company is very pleased with the success of the first generation Razer Phone which was released in limited numbers and received many positive responses globally,” Razer said through his official statement.

“Razer is now focusing resources on developing the second generation Razer Phone and the accompanying software. This will expand Razer’s software and services from the PC to the smartphone market,” continued Razer, quoted from Slash Gear, Wednesday (5 / 9/2018).

Unfortunately Razer did not mention what specifications will be carried on the second generation of gaming phones. But rumors say this cellphone will be armed with Snapdragon 855 which will be released later in 2018.

With the development of Razer Phone 2, it means that the mobile gaming market is indeed quite sexy to work on. So far, only a few serious players who appear serious enter this very specific market.

Globally, Razer has become the first vendor to release high-performance cellphones specifically for gaming at the end of 2017. Currently Razer Phone competes with Asus ROG Phone, Xiaomi Black Shark, and the latest is Honor Play.
